Fill Layer

1.     Select any of the new fill layer submenu options from the layer menu (Solid Color, Gradient, Pattern). A new Layer dialog will open. Allowing you to change Name, Clipping, color, mode and opacity, Once you accept the new layer option by clicking OK, a function dialog will appear as appropriate.

2.     Select any of the fill layer options from the create new adjustment or appear in the Adjustments dialog.
3.     Select the shape tool, then be sure the shape layers option is selected on the option bar (Use mouse tool tip to find the button for the option). Click and drag on the image.

Delay This tutorial took me a day longer than I anticipated to write (you’ll see why from the number of steps), but I hope you enjoy it! Final Image As always, this is the final image that we’ll be creating: Step 1 Open up a new document and go to view>show>grid. Then use your path tool to draw a path in the shape of half a wine bottle. Take your time with this step in order to get a really nice shape. Use a photo for reference if necessary. Step 2 Create a new layer called ‘bottle shape’. Then go to your paths palette and click ‘load path as a selection’. Then fill your selection with black. I had to go in with the lasso tool and tidy up a copy of edges. Duplicate this layer and go to edit>transform>flip horizontal. Then move the duplicate to complete the other half of the bottle shape. Then merge the two layers together. Step 3 Then go to layer blending options for this merged layer and apply a gradient overlay ranging from black to 110202 back to black.

We will create something like this, click on the image to see full preview: Step 1: Document Creation And Sky Create a new document, I wanted this image to use later as wallpaper, so I used 1920×1200 resolution, 72 dpi. Fill background with radial gradient (press G to activate gradient menu) with colors #1773e3 and #0b3972: Step 2: Star Creation Although we will create night effect, we need again to create some stars. Now create new layer ( CTRL+SHIFT+N), right above the background, fill it with black ( choose black and ALT+DELETE to fill). Go to Filter–>Add Noise and add settings like on picture below (amount 20-30): To get lesser amount of white noise, go to Image–>Adjustments–>Brightness/Contrast: Change Blending style to Color Dodge: Step 3 : Ground creation Press CTRL+SHIFT+N to create new layer ( look at screenshot at my layers palette so it’s the same like mine). For this tutorial, I used this photograph I found at Stockvault . After downloading the image, open it in Photoshop.
