Adjustment Layer
A layer that applies a specific function to underlying
layers in the layer stachk. These are specific fuctions created using the layer
> new Adjustment Layer submenu or by clicking on a create button for a
specific adjustments palette. Adjustment layers can be masked, applied using
layer modes, and varied in opacity / fill. They cannot be converted to a
background layer.
